The Sub Council hosted an awards ceremony last Friday (11 April) in recognition of the contributions made by the community members. This Friday Subcouncil 1 recognised the outstanding contributions of community members and City officials.
The recipients were as follows:

Wendy Robertson, founder of the NPO Community Clean-up, received the Councillor’s Choice Award, and Brad Espin of Church op the Rise received the Community Choice Award. A huge thanks to both of them for always being active and willing to contribute to the community.

Sub council 1 hosted its Draft Budget public meetings op Saturday 5 April 2025 for residents of Ward 29 and Ward 32 and op Thursday the 10th at a packed Blouberg Community Hall. Residents engaged proactively and gave their views, which were recorded, and residents were reminded to have your say and comment op the City’s Draft Budget by 2 May 2025.

Trenchless Pipe Replacement Project still ongoing within the Robinvale area to mitigate burst pipes that occurred frequently in the area.
Erection of Permanent Bus Shelters within Protea Park and Robinvale area is ongoing.
Ward 29:
