These students from the West Coast College Atlantis, (from left) Lerato Phoko, Shane Hoop, Solomzi Ndingandinga and Simamkele Ngoxo (Vredenburg) excelled in the Allan Gray Inter-Campus Entrepreneurship Competition held in Vredenburg op Wednesday 18 June. Students from across the college presented their innovative ideas and business ventures in two categories: In the “I Have a Business Idea” category, the top three winners were Simamkele Ngoxo (Vredenburg), Solomzi Ndingandinga (Atlantis) and Tintswalo Hulla (Malmesbury). In the “I Have a General Business” category, the top three winners were Lerato Phoko (Atlantis), Shane Hoop (Atlantis) and Kaylah Mentoor (Citrusdal). Phoko will represent West Coast College at the upcoming regional competition, hosted by Northlink College in August. Councillor Enid Plaatjies from the West Coast District Municipality gave the keynote address with words of encouragement to the participants. André Muller, West Coast College Acting Deputy Principal: Innovation and Development, commended the students for their efforts and congratulated the student entrepreneurs.
