What an incredible tournament for the Ashton U16A Girls Hockey team, who finished 2nd at the U16 Rising Championship Cup!
The girls produced an outstanding run through the tournament, recording five impressive victories:
- Ashton 1–0 St Cyprians
- Ashton 3–0 Paarl Girls’ High
- Ashton 4–0 Kingswood
- Ashton 1–0 Durbanville
- Ashton 2–0 DSG
The girls then faced Hoërskool Garsfontein in the final, where they narrowly went down 1–2 after a fantastic campaign.
Across six matches, Ashton scored 12 goals and conceded just 2, showing tremendous defensive discipline, determination and teamwork.
