The Imibala Village in Moorreesburg recently welcomed a group of interested and curious senior citizens for a guided tour to its new facility.

The occasion offered an opportunity to share insight into the organisation’s work and to explore meaningful ways in which visitors might become involved in its growing community initiatives.

Guests were introduced to Imibala’s flagship School Uniform Programme, which connects children in need with dedicated sponsors and volunteers.

The programme places strong emphasis op fostering self-respect, dignity, and the development of individual talents, ensuring that each child is seen, supported, and encouraged, and remains within education systems as they find and express their talents in the world.

Beyond this cornerstone initiative, Imibala offers a diverse range of enrichment programmes designed to nurture young minds and creativity.

These include art, drama, dance, literacy, mathematics, and computer coding, all made possible through the involvement of passionate and committed volunteers.

The visiting group expressed genuine interest in contributing their time and experience, recognising the value of intergenerational connection within the Imibala community. After a lively discussion, the group enjoyed a delicious tea laid out by Imibala staff and volunteers.

Their visit highlighted the important role that volunteers play in sustaining and expanding the organisation’s impact and underscored the shared belief that everyone has something meaningful to offer in shaping brighter futures for the young people of the Swartland.
