An unknown amount of suspects broke into the Woolworths store at the Walmer Park Shopping Centre last night.

According to police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, it is alleged that on Monday, July 17 at approximately 18:26, the suspects smashed the front window of Woolworths, gaining access to the store.

She said the suspects grabbed some perfumes and sunglasses, and ran off.

“The store was closed at the time. The value of the stolen items is yet to be determined.

“Police are investigating a case of (business) housebreaking,” said Naidu.

The centre was targeted earlier this year in March when an armed robbery took place at the iStore. Nobody was injured during this incident.
