EXPERIENCED Motherwell NU 10 side, Crystal Palace FC, dug deep to claim a hard-fought 2–0 victory over the youthful Wells United, during their Motherwell Football Association (MOFA) Ibhabhathane Trading & Civil CC Premier League encounter at Motherwell NU 6 Grounds on Sunday.

Lithemba Budaza quickly broke the deadlock in the seventh minute. Budaza, the skillful midfielder-cum striker, unleashed a snapshot that beat United’s goalkeeper.

United kept piling the pressure on Palace, but the veteran defender Sakhiwo Nkewana marshalled his defence. In the 72nd minute, Sakhile Nkewana rounded two United defenders and scored Palace’s last goal to make the final score 2–0.
