A LITTLE school which started from humble beginnings is now celebrating 40 years of existence.
The Salem Preschool in Kabega Park officially opened its doors on June 1 in 1978 with only three children.
The enrolment grew to 21 children within a month and rose to 42 in November that same year.
The school has grown considerably over the years and is currently accommodating 80 little learners.
The 40th anniversary celebrations will take place this Friday for the current parents and learners at the school.
On Sunday, there will be a thanksgiving service for all past parents and learners at the Westway Church at 11am.
