Tlotlisho Thupae, an author born and raised in Kuruman, will launch her debut book, Becoming the Most Beautiful Version of Myself, at the end of the month in her hometown.
The launch promises to be an enriching experience. Artist Bianca will perform, with author and life coach Mpho Lekgetho as guest speaker, whilst Danny Hebe will serve as master of ceremonies.
Apart from a question-and-answer session with Thupae, a book signing will take place. Prizes will also be awarded during the evening.
‘Bearing fruits through writing and inspiring others’
Thupae completed her school career in Kuruman before commencing her further education at the University of the Free State, followed by an Honours degree from Rhodes University. She completed her Master’s in Philosophy in Strategic Management from the University of Pretoria (UP).
She is currently living in Kuruman where she has family, and was placed on a graduate programme within the commerce sector.
Thupae says the writing of the book started last year while she was still a student at UP.

“I used to write both my research master’s and the book at the same time and only got to publish the book this year. Writing a book was not a plan that I had.
“The idea came from a conversation I had with a friend about bearing fruits and multiplying (which is a Biblical concept) and one of the ways that came about doing that is through writing a book.
“I believe it will be me multiplying myself and bearing fruits through writing and inspiring others.”
In an alumni interview with UP, Thupae said her academic path reflects her commitment to adaptability and excellence.
“Each institution came with its own set of rules, expectations and cultures,” she explained. “Navigating those spaces taught me resilience, flexibility and the value of embracing diverse perspectives.”
Book invites readers to embrace personal growth
Her book is a personal memoir in which she shares her journey of self-discovery, resilience and transformation.
The book also serves as a self-help guide that empowers readers to embrace their inner and outer beauty by focusing on personal growth, self-love and authenticity.
It is the daily decision to show up, embrace change, and trust the process.
It is not just her story, but an invitation for readers to embark on their own journey towards becoming their most beautiful selves. Through her writing, she seeks to inspire readers to embark on their own journey of transformation and self-discovery. She believes there is strength in sharing our stories.
She also reflected that her book is about growth and explains it is the daily decision to show up, embrace change, and trust the process of evolving into who you are meant to be.
Her life philosophy centres on continuous self-improvement, aiming always to evolve into the most refined version of herself.
