In a landmark achievement, the AVBOB Griquas produced a dominant performance to defeat former champions SWD EaGirls 27 – 10 and book their first-ever place in the Pick n Pay Women’s Super League 2 final.
The Griquas Women have steadily built momentum throughout the competition and now find themselves just 80 minutes away from championship glory.
This coming weekend the Hollywood Foundation Pumas Women will have the opportunity to defend their title against the Griquas Women after the teams from the Northern Cape and Mpumalanga won their semifinals on Saturday.
SA Rugby confirmed that the final would be played on Friday 28 August at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, starting at 15:30.
