Actor and performer Logan W. James is entering an exciting new season in his career, with three major milestones unfolding across television, musical theatre, and music.
A former Grey College learner and University of the Free State (UFS) student, James continues to build his career on national platforms while proudly carrying his Free State roots with him.

From 26 June, he returns to kykNET’s Binnelanders as Le Roux, in a storyline that takes a deeply emotional turn. “Le Roux has always had a certain energy around him, but this storyline reveals a more vulnerable and complicated side of him,” says James.
“As an actor, it is exciting to be trusted with material that carries real emotional weight, especially in a show that means so much to South African audiences.”
James has also officially joined the South African cast of MAMMA MIA!, marking his musical theatre debut. The production will be staged from September, giving him the opportunity to step into a new performance space alongside a celebrated local cast.

“Being part ofMAMMA MIA! is a huge honour,” he says.
“It is a dream come true for me as a performer and I am grateful for the opportunity to grow, learn, and share the stage with such an incredible cast.”
Adding to this career momentum, James will release his debut single in July. The release marks his first official step into music and further establishes him as a multi-disciplinary South African performer.
For James, the moment is especially meaningful because of where his journey began.
“Bloemfontein shaped so much of who I am,” he says. “I went to school here, studied here and so many of my first dreams started here. To now be stepping into these projects while still carrying Bloemfontein with me is something I am really proud of.”
Together, the projects mark an important new phase in James’ career as he expands his work across television, theatre, and music.
MAMMA MIA! will be at Artscape from 3 September and in the Teatro at Montecasino from 16 October.
