Good progress is being made at the Robertson Solid Waste Transfer Station.

The Langeberg Municipality is making progress on the capital projects identified in its Integrated Development Planning (IDP) public participation process. These projects are prioritised based on community needs and the available resources, it stated in a newsletter.

The design, manufacture and installation of a steel portal frame roof structure for the Robertson Solid Waste Transfer Station is expected to be completed at the end of June. The contractor, SHC Civils and Maintenance Tender, has installed a super structure with purlins and cladding. The value of the contract is R2 760 000.

The supply and installation of perimeter fencing is progressing well with 18 of the 23 three sites completed. This project costs R7 072 071. The contractor started mid-February and will be done by the end of June.

The electrification of Boe­ken­houtskloof in Bonnievale is in full swing with the overhead distribution kiosks completed. The contractors, Adenco Construction, are busy with the distribution boards and network installations.

The cost of the project is R7 764 083. The contractor started work in November last year and the project will be completed by the end of June.

The earthworks and installation of the base course of the new netball court in Zolani, Ashton has been done. Excavations are under way for the kerbs.

The value of the projects is R1 010 000 and it is due to be completed at the end of June.
