Azure Gymnastics Club is celebrating after 21 of its gymnasts qualified to represent the Western Cape at the 2026 Acrobatics National Championships.
The gymnasts competed at the Western Cape Championships on 15 August, where they produced an impressive medal haul of 11 gold, seven silver and 15 bronze medals.
For the club, the achievements are particularly significant given the limited equipment available to its gymnasts.
Despite these challenges, the athletes have continued to train hard and demonstrate their dedication, determination and passion for the sport.
The 21 qualifiers will now have the opportunity to compete against some of the country’s top young acrobatic gymnasts at the national championships.
