LANGEBAAN – Fifteen-year-old Nyasha Zishavi, whose disappearance prompted a week-long search by her family, friends, authorities and the community, has been found safe in Cape Town.
Nyasha was reported missing after she was last seen at SeaView Park in Langebaan on Thursday 10 September.
The Pink Ladies Organisation and Vredenburg Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit appealed to the public for information as the search for the teenager continued.
Nyasha was eventually found safe and confirmed that she had been in Cape Town with her boyfriend.
She reportedly told those close to her that she had left because she is in love and that there was no need for anyone to worry about her.
Her disappearance nevertheless resulted in a week-long search, with family members and friends trying to establish where she was, while information was circulated in the community and resources were committed to finding her.
