Athletes are gearing up for the Mykonos Half Marathon set to take place on Saturday 25 July.
Online entries have closed but participants can register at the venue and choose between the 21,1 km half marathon, the 10 km race or the 5 km Fun Run.
The 21,1 km and 10 km races start at 08:00, followed by the 5 km Fun Run at 08:10. All three events are suitable for walkers, while the Fun Run route is safe and suitable for children, making it an ideal outing for the whole family.
Registration takes place at the venue on Friday 24 July, from 16:00 to 20:00, or on Saturday morning from 06:30 to 07:50.
Entry fees are R220 (R315 for unlicensed athletes) for the half marathon, R140 (R200 for unlicensed athletes) for the 10 km, and R50 for the 5 km Fun Run.
The minimum age for the 21,1 km is 16 years and 14 years for the 10 km.
All finishers in the 21,1 km and 10 km races will receive medals, while the first 500 finishers in the Fun Run will also earn a medal.
Participants will also have the opportunity to win a range of spot prizes, including a weekend getaway for four at Club Mykonos Resort.
Food stalls and entertainment will keep spectators entertained throughout the morning, making the event an enjoyable outing for the whole family.Motorists are advised that runners will be crossing the Saldanha-Langebaan Road at Curro Private School between 08:00 and 11:30.
Traffic officers will be on duty, and road users are encouraged to use alternative routes where possible.
