Entries are open for the Mykonos Half Marathon, so grab those running shoes and enter this annual marathon over 21,1 km. Or, join the 10 km route or 5 km Fun Run.
The combination of a scenic route along the West Coast, relatively flat terrain and a welcoming atmosphere makes this Club Mykonos Multisport event very popular, taking place this year on Saturday 25 July.
There will be plenty of food stalls and entertainment to keep everyone busy. The 21,1 km and 10 km races starts at 08:00, and the 5 km Fun Run starts at 08:10. All three events are suitable for walking, and the Fun Run route is safe and suitable for children to participate.
Enter online at www.entryninja.com. Online entries close on Sunday 19 July. Late entries for the 10 and 21 km races will be allowed at the venue, but at an extra cost. Entries for the 5 km can also be done at the venue, but at no extra cost.
Register at the venue on Friday 24 July from 16:00 to 20:00, or on the Saturday morning,, from 06:30 to 07:50.
Entry fees are R220 (R315 for unlicenced athletes) for the 21.1 km, R140 (R200 for unlicenced athletes) for the 10 km, and R50 for the 5 km Fun Run.
The minimum age for the 21,1 km is 16 years old and 14 years old for the 10 km. Proof of age may be requested on race day. Fun Run participants younger than 10 years must be accompanied by an adult.
All athletes finishing the 21,1 km and 10 km will receive a medal, whereas only the first 500 in the Fun Run will receive medals. There are also great spot prizes up for grabs and the big price of a weekend for four at Club Mykonos Resort.

Motorists must note the runners will be crossing the Saldanha/Langebaan Road at Curro Private School from 08:00 to 11:30. Traffic officers will be on duty there. Please use alternative routes.
