Police are seeking two men who could assist with investigations into two separate assault cases in Meqheleng, Ficksburg.
The incidents occurred in June and August, according to Free State police spokesperson Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring.
On 16 June at about 7:30pm, a woman had an argument with her boyfriend over the surname of their child. The argument escalated, with the man assaulting the woman with open hands before stabbing her in the arm with a knife. He then fled the scene.
Police are investigating a case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Moshabali Malaka is a person of interest who police believe could assist with the investigation.
On 9 August at about 7pm, an argument between a woman and her ex-boyfriend escalated into a physical altercation. The woman was assaulted with a chisel on her eye and body. Neighbours intervened and separated the two.
Police are investigating the incident as a case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Charlie Mpane, known as “Skipa”, is a person of interest who police believe could assist with the investigation.
