On Heritage Day, 24 September, children’s voices rose up in the early spring sky amongst green trees and singing birds at the McGregor Museum in Kimberley − whilst parents and other family members relaxed on the green lawn. Under the experienced hand of conductor Nathan Carlo, members of the Kimberley Children’s Choir (KCC), with invited school choir members of the Kimberley Junior School, Herlear Primary School, Staats Primary School, and St Patrick’s CBC performed. The KCC also had the opportunity to perform on the grand staircase in the entrance hall of the McGregor Museum. To find out more about music education for children and youth in the province, visit the Northern Cape Symphony Orchestra and the Kimberley Academy of Music on Facebook. Photo: Helena Barnard
