St Andrew’s College, Cape Town, is very proud of its SACS Economics Team. The Grade 12 Economics team has been selected as a Top 10 finalist in the prestigious 2026 Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) Schools Challenge. It is hosted by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
The SACS team is Ibrahim Noordien, Daniel Bateman, James Engelbrecht and Noah Rassou. The boys have delivered an outstanding performance to reach this stage of the competition, representing SACS with excellence and determination.
The boys will attend a preparation workshop in Cape Town next week before traveling to Pretoria in August, where they will present their analysis and take part in a panel Q&A at the SARB Head Office.
Well done, gentlemen – an incredible achievement that reflects both your hard work and the spirit of SACS.
