Somerset College Global Achievement. Somerset College proudly congratulates Petrus Bosman (Cambridge AS). Petrus Bosman is shortlisted in the Economics Category of the John Locke Institute 2026 Global Essay Prize.
This year’s competition drew an extraordinary 100,227 entrants from 183 countries. Following a rigorous judging process, only the top 17.5% of submissions were shortlisted. This places Petrus among the world’s most promising young thinkers.
In a message of congratulations, the Director General of the John Locke Institute wrote: “To be numbered among the best of the best is a remarkable achievement. Well done.”
Somerset College is immensely proud of Petrus for representing Somerset College and our Cambridge Program with distinction on the global stage. He has been invited to attend the awards ceremony in London this October, where category winners will be announced. We wish him every success as he continues to shine internationally.
