Congratulations to Michaelhouse rugby stars Alex Jankowitz, Nicola Salamousas, and Aphelele Chamane on their selection to represent the SA Schools teams following their standout performances for the Sharks at Craven Week in Gqeberha.
The boys attended the capping ceremony at Grey High School, with Nicola becoming Michaelhouse’s first SA Schools representative since Pat Lambie in 2008. Their last SA Schools A selection was Wandile Mlaba in 2022.
On Kolisi Field for their first game, Nicola dominated in the SA Schools side’s first half, while Aphelele and Alex made a huge impact off the bench for the A team. Aphelele powered over for a try, Alex held firm in defense, and together they helped secure a dramatic 34-33 victory.
A thrilling finale to the season, echoing the spirit of Michaelhouse rugby. Well done to the Michaelhouse Rugby Stars — what a proud moment for the school and what a great note to end on.
