Camps Bay High School proudly announces that Jared Shrimpton has been selected to represent South Africa at the 2026 ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships in Gualeguaychú, Argentina, taking place from 22–25 October 2026.
Path to Selection
Jared secured his place on the national team following an outstanding performance at the South African National Canoe Marathon Championships. He finished 4th in the U18 K1 Long Course and achieved 2nd place in the U18 K1 Short Course. Jared’s results highlight both his technical skill and competitive determination.
This achievement underscores his dedication to the sport and reflects the growing strength of canoeing at Camps Bay High School. Representing South Africa on the world stage is a significant milestone, and Jared’s success serves as an inspiration to his peers and the broader school community.
