Fairmont High School, Cape Town, proudly announced the official induction of the 2027 Prefect Body.
Since the school’s founding in 1977, the Prefect system has stood as a cornerstone of Fairmont tradition. Elected by both peers and staff, Prefects serve as guardians of the school’s heritage and ambassadors of it’s core values: Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.
The matric prefects are role models. Guided by the principles of servant leadership, they are called to lead with humility, integrity, and compassion; to uphold our school values and rules; and to serve the Fairmont community with pride.
“To our outgoing leaders, thank you for your dedication and service. To our incoming Prefects: lead boldly, serve selflessly, and leave your mark. We look forward with excitement to the leaders you will become and the legacy you will leave behind,” said the school.
