The Clarendon Riding Team proudly represented the school at the annual Border Equestrian Community Interschools competition, held in East London (KuGompo City) and surrounding areas.

Ella Tucker, Jaime Stewart, and Ava Lee from Clarendon High School for Girls showcased exceptional skill, determination, and unity across a variety of demanding events. Riders competed in dressage tests, show jumping courses, handy hunter obstacle challenges, and working riding disciplines — all requiring precision, courage, and speed. Judging also included turnout, assessing the neatness of riding gear, tack, and horse grooming.

Our riders impressed in every category, demonstrating grit, bravery, and true sportsmanship.

Individual Achievements:

• Ella Tucker: Handy Hunter – 4th; Dressage – 2nd; Turnout – 1st; crowned Overall High School Individual Champion across all disciplines.
• Jaime Stewart: Delivered strong dressage performances and navigated complex obstacles with composure and skill.
• Ava Lee: 2nd place – Individual Overall Turnout; 3rd place – Individual Overall Jumping Award.

Team Achievements:

• Handy Hunter – 3rd place
• Dressage – 3rd place
• Jumping – 4th place
• Turnout – 1st place
• Overall High School Team – 3rd place across all disciplines

This outstanding performance reflects not only the riders’ talent but also their teamwork and dedication. Clarendon is immensely proud of their achievements and the spirit they displayed throughout the competition.
