An evening worth dressing up for

On 14 August 2026, the Boardwalk ICC will host the Voice of Courage Fashion Show, an evening of fashion, music and purpose.

Hosted by Boardwalk Hotel and Casino in partnership with Camelot Spa, the event will feature collections from leading Eastern Cape designers.

Featuring live entertainment by Robin Pieters and hosted by Lucia Mtshake-Ntshona.

Tickets cost R200 each, excluding service fees.

Fashion That Changes Lives

The event supports two important causes: Yokhuselo Haven and the Community Chest of the Eastern Cape.

Your ticket helps fund services for vulnerable people and supports organisations working to strengthen communities across the province.

Yokhuselo Haven: 38 Years of Courage

Established in 1988, Yokhuselo Haven was Nelson Mandela Bay’s first shelter for women and children affected by domestic abuse.

For nearly four decades, it has provided safety, meals, counselling and practical support to families escaping violence.

Funds raised help the organisation provide emergency accommodation, replace essential documents and maintain safe spaces where children can heal.

Community Chest of the Eastern Cape: More than 70 years of community impact

For more than 70 years, the Community Chest of the Eastern Cape has supported organisations working in education, healthcare, skills development and social relief.

Through grants, partnerships and mentorship, it helps charities provide essential services and support vulnerable communities across the province.

For Sinoxolo Manengela, fashion is about transformation.

As founder and creative director of NDIMBI Clothing & Manufacturing, he transforms reclaimed denim and discarded textiles into luxurious contemporary garments that challenge perceptions of sustainability without compromising on style.

For the Voice of Courage Fashion Show, guests can expect elegant silhouettes that challenge perceptions of waste and value, proving that sustainability and high fashion are not mutually exclusive.

“This event gives creativity a purpose beyond the runway,” says Sinoxolo. “It’s an honour to use fashion to create hope and support vulnerable communities.”

NDIMBI’s meticulous in-house craftsmanship redefines rather than simply recycles clothing, making each piece a work of conscious luxury.

Jan Hendrik of JaSi Studio challenges convention with precision-led, construction-first tailoring that blurs traditional gender boundaries.

For the Voice of Courage Fashion Show, JaSi Studio presents Vulnerability vs Armour – a thought-provoking collection that explores gendered protection and vulnerability through expertly tailored, gender-fluid garments featuring the designer’s signature chevron motif.

Jan Hendrik’s approach is pattern-making-led, with cut, structure and seam construction driving the design aesthetic.
