Nelson Mandela Bay has been hit with ongoing water disruptions. 

“Unfortunately, the situation has not improved and the Municipality is still unable to supply water to some areas of the Western side of the Metro. This is because reservoirs that feed these areas are still critically low,” the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality said in a statement.

Areas that are experiencing water disruptions include:

Chelsea Reservoir Zone:

  1. Baywest
  2. Rowallan Park
  3. Sherwood 
  4. Lorraine
  5. Ben Kamma
  6. Beverley Grove
  7. Theesecomb/Lake Farm
  8. Hunters Retreat
  9. Kabega Park 
  10. Morningside 
  11. Linton Grange
  12. Framesby
  13. Malabar 
  14. Sunridge Park
  15. Westering
  16. Cotswold
  17. Fernglen 

Heatherbank and Lovemore Heights Reservoir Zone: 

  1. Fairview 
  2. Overbaakens 
  3. Springfield
  4. Charlo
  5. Broadwood
  6. Miramar
  7. Mount Pleasant
  8. Providentia  
  9. Pari Park 
  10. Lovemore Heights  
  11. Sardinia Bay
  12. Old Seaview Road/ Deer Park

“We urge residents that have water supply to please reduce their water consumption,” the Municipality said.

As a temporary solution, water tankers will be dispatched and their locations will be communicated on the NMBM website and social media pages

“We thank residents for their continued patience and apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
