On June 11 a new Sun Boardwalk uberMANn and Heinz in Style Mademoiselle will be chosen to represent the young men and women of the Nelson Mandela Metro in 2022.
This prestigious titles, in its 19th consecutive and second year, have increasingly grown in stature since its inception in 2002 and 2019. The gala event is a highlight on the social calendar of the Eastern Cape.
The young gentleman and lady chosen to fulfil the role of the Sun Boardwalk uberMANn and Heinz in Style Mademoiselle are not only to be the most dashing of all, but more importantly a young man and woman to whom the city’s youth can look up to. The winners must and will represent their sponsors and the people of Gqeberha with great aplomb.
The Sun Boardwalk uberMANn and Heinz in Style Mademoiselle have a proud record of active involvement in social investment programs in Gqeberha.
The aim of the titles is to embrace responsibility and encourage a positive impact through community activities. It is not a modelling competition.
The titles carry the full weight and responsibility of the qualifying criteria set out in the entry form, as well as the expectations of all the sponsors involved. Past uberMANn and Mademoiselle winners have undoubtedly been much needed role models to the youth of the region.
The 2022 titleholders will support a charitable organisation, Isithembiso Babies Homes, that will benefit from fundraising events organised by the uberMANn and Mademoiselle brands. Both winners will be responsible to garner pro-active community involvement and corporate social responsibility support for the chosen charity.
The competition culminates in a spectacular and well attended gala evening at the Boardwalk Hotel ICC on June 11.
Talented local celebrity Roland Gaspar is the MC for the event and the popular Two-Tone will provide live music as well as the Eastern Cape junior Children’s Choir. There will be a well-represented panel of judges as well as a representative of naming right sponsor The Sun Boardwalk.
Tickets will be available from the Finalists or at Heinz in Style, 45 Third Avenue, Newton Park, at a donation of R170.
