The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has issued a warning that water disruptions may occur in certain parts of the metro today, February 19, due to a high demand.


The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has issued a warning that water disruptions may occur in certain parts of the metro today, February 19, due to a high demand.

“The Municipality has noted a big increase on the water demand and this has caused the storage level at the Chelsea reservoir to drop to a critical level,” the NMBM said in a media statement this morning.

“This will increases the risk of residents experiencing low water pressure or supply disruptions. We ask that residents please stick to the 50 litre rule to accelerate the accumulation of storage in the reservoir.”
