The 66-year-old woman that left the Louis Dubb Retirement home two weeks ago to search for her son, has been found dead this afternoon, February 22.

Police spokesperson, Col. Priscilla Naidu, said that at approximately 12:30, police found the partially decomposed body of Bernadette January not far from the Retirement Home.

“No foul play is suspected and a postmortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death,” Naidu said.

She was last seen when she left the Home on February 9, reportedly to look for her son living on the street in Summerstrand. She was a diabetic and left without her medication.

After making contact with the son, he told police that his mother never showed up and he had not seen her at all.
