The woman that left the Louis Dubb Retirement Home in Kabega Park almost two weeks ago on February 9 and never returned, is still missing.

According to reports, 66-year-old Bernadette January may have gone to Summerstrand in search of her son who allegedly lives on the street in the area. January is a diabetic and left without her medication.

Police spokesperson, Col. Priscilla Naidu, said that police investigations revealed that January was dropped off at the Greenacres taxi rank by a resident from the retirement home.

“That was the last time anyone had seen her. Her son was found in Forest Hill and indicated that he had not seen his mother,” Naidu said.

Anyone who may recognise her or know of her whereabouts, is asked to contact  D/Sgt. Deidre Harker at SAPS Kabega Park on 041 397 6801/063 157 2964 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. They can also visit the nearest police station.
