SOME teams saw themselves on the receiving end of huge defeats, as they were embarrassed during the Nelson Mandela Bay Basketball Association (NMBBA) Super League pre-season games at the Raymond Mhlaba Indoor Sports Centre on Sunday.

Spartans Veterans thwarted PE Comets Masters 73-22, in their one-sided game.

Meanwhile, PE Comets A baptised the newcomers Zwide Eagles with fire in their game, which ended 60-42.

Walter Sisulu University’s (WSU) men’s team managed a 54-30 victory over Spartans Veterans.

The newcomers, Uitenhage Kings, crashed 90-24 to Spartans A. Following their first game win over Spartans Veterans, WSU looked as if they brimmed off with confidence in their narrow 48-40 win over Zwide Eagles.

PE Comets A drubbed Spartans A 67-36 in the last game of the day.
