Chef’s Tips from Luthando Magwa
- Keep it fresh and simple – I always believe less is more. Fresh ingredients will always give you the best flavour without needing to add too much.
- Balance your flavours – A good smoothie shouldn’t be too sweet or too bitter. I like to balance the fruit with greens so you can enjoy both the taste and the health benefits.
- Texture matters – The consistency is just as important as the flavour. Blend properly so it’s smooth and easy to drink—not too thick or too watery.
- Taste as you go – Everyone’s preference is different, so I always taste and adjust—sometimes a little more yoghurt or a touch of honey makes all the difference.
- Make it part of your routine – Smoothies are a quick way to take care of your health, even on busy days. It’s something small that makes a big difference over time.
