Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Portfolio Head for Infrastructure, Engineering, Electricity and Energy, Councillor Mongameli Bobani would like to inform residents that a burst has occurred on the 600mm pipeline feeding the Greenbushes reservoir.
Municipal teams have exposed the pipe and are busy assessing damages. No consumers are immediately affected however if storage in the reservoirs depletes before repairs are completed the following areas could experience disruptions:
- Colleen Glen
- St Albans
- Kuyga
- High lying areas in Rowallan park.
The situation will be monitored and water tankers arranged where necessary.
