The Bargain Box:
The Animal Anti-Cruelty League charity shop is urgently in need of donations. Clothing, bric-a-brac, household goods, linen, books and costume jewellery would be greatly appreciated. They request that electrical goods be in working order. All proceeds go towards caring for animals in the northern areas. Donations can be dropped off at the shop in the 9th Avenue Shopping Centre, Main Road, Walmer. For more info, or to arrange for collection, contact 041 581 2852.

ony Neveling of Gecko Tours has been promoting the city this festive season by offering free guided tours of art, heritage and history every Wednesday. The last tour will take place today, January 12. It is a walking tour starting at The Donkin (Lighthouse) from 10:00 to 12:00. The tour includes a visit to Fort Frederick, The Athenaeum, The Donkin, St Mary’s Cathedral and surrounding art, etc. COVID-19 restrictions apply. A maximum of 20 people permitted per tour.
