Kabega Park detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the families of the deceased or witnesses in three unrelated cases.
In the first incident on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at approximately 19:30, the driver of a vehicle noticed someone lying in the road in Kragga Kamma Road. The driver was unable to swerve out of the way and drove over the man. The man was declared dead on the scene.
In a second unrelated incident on Monday, August 10, 2020, the deceased’s body was found on the side of the road on the N2 at the Blue Horizon Bay off-ramp. The man was only wearing a black pants with no further identification.
In the last unrelated incident on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at approximately 17:45, SAPS Kabega Park responded to a complaint in Rocklands Road, Rocklands, where the body of a man was pointed out on arrival.
Police spokesperson, Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg, said that in all these incidents, inquest dockets were opened and is still under investigation.
“Anyone who can assist in tracing the family of these people or may be able to identify the deceased is asked to contact D/SGT Eugene Bantom on 082 302 6112 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111,” Janse van Rensburg said.
“They can also visit the nearest police station or send information via MYSAPSAPP. All information received will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous.”
