GQEBERHA – Police are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the next of kin of a deceased man, believed to be about 35 years old, whose body was found lying next to Old Uitenhage Road opposite the KwaNoxolo area.

According to police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, police members discovered the body on Tuesday, 6 May, at about 17:30.

She said the deceased was wearing a white shirt and white shorts and was not wearing any shoes.

“He sustained gunshot wounds to the left side of his body. The body was already in an advanced stage of decomposition at the time of discovery.”

A murder case has been opened for investigation.
