THE Nelson Mandela Bay Basketball League resumed with their first season games at Raymond Mhlaba Sports Centre in Motherwell NU 4B on Sunday.
Rhodes University Ladies’ team produced an outstanding performance to defeat Gemineyez Ladies’ team 59-43. Spartans Veterans’ side registered an emphatic 75-31 victory over Uitenhage Veterans’ side in their one-sided game.
Underground Basketball Club defeated the gallant Spartans Basketball Club 68-57 during their nail-biting encounter. Rhodes University men’s team who came all the way from Makhanda, were awarded soft points af-ter New Brighton Knights Basketball Club did not pitch up for their game.
