THE Gelvandale 15km race will be held at the Gelvandale athletics track in Liebenberg Road, Gelvandale, on Saturday, October 29.
The 15km starts at 06:00 and the 5km at 06:15.
The well-established Gelvandale Run is sponsored by the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, as part of the Legacy Project.
This year, the family event will include a new incentive for school runners: the Speedy Gonzales Search over 60m, 100m and 400m taking place on the Gelvandale athletics track.
This fun event will be open to young boys and girls from the u/7 age group right through to senior men and women.
The top three schools with the most finishers (minimum of 30) will receive voucher incentives – R5 000 for the winning school, R3 000 for the second and R2 000 for the third school.

Online entries are available on www.webtickets.co.za and will close on Wednesday, October 26.
Entries may be handed in at Brian Bands, The Footballer or UD Sport in Kariega.
Collection of race numbers (pre-entries) and late entries will be accepted at the race venue from 17:00 until 19:00 on Friday, October 28, and from 05:00 on the morning of the race.
Free T-shirts will be given to the first 100 15km athletes who collect their race number on Friday, October 28.
