Are you ready to put on your cowboy boots and dance the night away?
Tarryn Light Productions will be performing an edgy and rootin’ tootin’ country/rock pop set that will keep you dancing the night away.
Who’s Your Dolly – A Tribute to Dolly Parton &
Miley Cyrus, starring Tarryn Light herself on lead vocals, will take place at Old Grey Hall in Gqeberha this Saturday, 27 May.
This show follows the very successful 80s Dance party at Old Grey.
Tarryn’s stage presence, humour and charm has since captured Gqeberha audiences, and is starting to ruffle some feathers – tail feathers that is!
She started her production company just before COVID-19 hit, and naturally COVID-19 stopped her in her tracks. She slowly started coming back in 2022 and ended on a bang with the first successful run of a Melodrama in years.
She has now come back with a fully loaded line up for 2023. Who’s Your Dolly is no exception to this and promises big entertainment by featuring some of Gqeberha’s top musicians like Rob Thompson on lead guitar, Boet Strydom on keyboard, Tiaan Uys on bass guitar, Arthur Daniels on rhythm guitar and Jo-Anne Mattheus on vocals.
“I just want to bring our audience something fresh and new that you can still get up and clap and dance and sing along to! Being the top two ladies on everyone’s lips, I felt it was only appropriate to tribute Dolly Parton, who recently entered the Rock n Roll hall of fame, and her god daughter Miley Cyrus, who’s comeback album and specifically her song ‘Flowers’ has taken the world by storm,” Light said.
“People gravitate to these two powerhouse woman because they boast individuality and originality, but also push boundaries with their music and lyrics. And not only that – they have given so much back to the music industry, and I want to celebrate that.”
Tickets are R170 per person and you can book via WhatsApp on 076 322 9850.
The show starts at 19:00 on Saturday, 27 May at Old Grey Hall. Limited table seating is available, so make those bookings now!
