A Gqeberha woman (61) was found brutally murdered in a car in the yard of her Gelvandale home, yesterday afternoon, December 27.
According to a statement by SAPS spokesperson, Col. Priscilla Naidu, it is suspected that her husband murdered her.
The Police responded to a complaint of murder at the Beetlestone Road home. “They found the body of Mrs Cheryl Ann Kannemeyer inside a car in the yard. She sustained multiple stab wounds on her chest, a laceration to her throat and a rope was found around her neck. Her husband, aged 57 years old, was found lying at the rear left side of the vehicle with multiple stab wounds to his upper body. A knife was found close to him,” said Col Naidu.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
A case of murder is under investigation.
