Lion City FC won against Arsenal FC
FOLLOWING their win-less run last week, Lion City FC cruised to a well-deserved 10–1 victory against Arsenal FC, during their Motherwell Football Association (MOFA) Premier League clash at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium on Sunday.
Motherwell School of Excellence FC hammered FC Angels 3–1, with Abenathi Poro, Tebogo Mzanda, and Bulelani Gubevu scoring a goal apiece, while Likhaya Nyumka scoring FC Angels’ consolation goal.

Hundreds of spectators converged at Gelvan Fields to watch Northern Areas Football Association (NAFA) Top 8 games on Sunday.
The games were organised for the juniors and seniors. Helenvale United booked themselves a place in the finals, after they defeated Glenville Celtic 1–0 in the u/9 semi-finals. Park United FC also advanced to the finals, as they managed to overcome KS Spurs 1–0 in their u/9 semi-final. Helenvale were crowned the NAFA u/9 champions by winning the final 5–4 on penalties, over Park United.
Helenvale u/11 secured a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Hotspurs during their semi-final. Despite their 2–1 loss to Booysens Pride FC u/11, Glenville gave good account of themselves during their semi-final. Helenvale defeated Booysens Pride 1–0 in the u/11 finals.
Park United defeated Glenville 4–3 on penalties at their u/13 final. Rangers FC managed to beat West Lake FC 5–3 on penalties during their u/15 final. Saints FC accumulated a hard-fought 2–0 win over Fairview Rovers during their u/17 final, while Windvogel All Stars FC beat Helenvale 2–1 on penalties in their tough final.
Supporters see sides drubbed in league games
Loyal supporters were taken aback when they saw their sides being embarrassed during the SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay (NMB) Hollywood Bets Regional League games on Saturday.
Royal Bucks went down 7–2 to Madibaz Football at South Campus Grounds in Summerstrand. At Veeplaas Turf Stadium, Bay Tigers FC was outplayed 6–3 by Dynamos FC.
New Brighton side Stinging Bees snatched a comfortable 6–2 away triumph against Highland Spurs at Jabavu Stadium in KwaNobuhle.
Camper United registered an emphatic 3–0 away victory over Eleven Stars at Jabavu Stadium. Old Grey FC lost 1–0 to Red City FC at SAPS Main Grounds in Mount Croix. EC Celtics managed to collect the three maximum league points in their hard-fought 1–0 victory over Despatch Pioneers at Khayamnandi Community Sports Grounds in Despatch. Khipu Major Chiefs Sports Club earned a narrow 4–3 win over Roaring Tigers at Khayamnandi Community Sports Grounds.
In the New Brighton derby, New Brighton Academy (NBA) FC played to a 1–1 draw against Red Lions at Chevrolet Stadium. Real Madrid accumulated a hard-fought 1–0 away win from Port Elizabeth FC at Gelvan Fields on Saturday.
