SAPS Gelvandale detectives arrested an alleged murder suspect within hours after a man was fatally stabbed in Malabar in the early hours of Monday, April 1.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 03:45, police responded to a complaint of a man that was stabbed near Saliehout Street, Extension 6, Malabar.
“Cannan Jacobs (35) sustained multiple stab wounds on the right side of his chest and abdomen,” she said.
She added that at approximately 08:30, a 45-year-old suspect was arrested in Armstrong Street, Malabar, on the murder charge.
“The suspect will appear in the magistrate court during the week.”
