GQEBERHA – Cheshire Home Summerstrand will be hosting its annual fete on 6 June as part of its fundraising initiatives.
The home currently cares for 56 physically disabled adults and 16 disabled children, all of whom require specialised care due to trauma, tragedy, or from birth.
The event will run from 08:00 to 13:00 at its premises at 7 Gomery Road, Summerstrand, and will feature a vibrant mix of private stallholders alongside the home’s regular stalls, creating a lively market-style atmosphere for visitors.
Guests can look forward to a wide selection of food offerings, including bacon and egg rolls, pancakes, puddings, tea and coffee, cakes, curry and rice and cold drinks, as well as a meat and vegetables stall.
The fete will also include live entertainment, adding to the festive atmosphere, and an auction scheduled for 10:00, which is expected to be one of the highlights of the morning.
Organisers are encouraging donations of cash, products or services, as well as volunteer support on the day. The public is invited to share the event with friends and family to help increase attendance and create a warm, community-driven day out.
Cheshire Home Summerstrand is a non-profit organisation that has been operating successfully for 50 years and continues to provide high standards of care to people with disabilities in Gqeberha.
Donors may request an 18A tax receipt for eligible contributions.
