GQEBERHA – Police in Gqeberha have launched a public appeal following the discovery of the body of an unidentified woman in Greenbushes earlier this month.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, said police responded to a complaint at 14:01 on 3 April at Dustpan Road, where the body of a female was found in the bushes.
She said the victim’s identity remains unknown due to the state of decomposition in which the body was found.

She noted that a case of murder is under investigation.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident are still being probed, and no arrests have been made,” she further noted.
“Police are urging anyone who may have information that could assist in identifying the deceased or locating her next of kin to come forward. All information will be treated with strict confidentiality,” she concluded.
