SEVEN Sundowns Sports Club head coach, Mthunzi Zane Mrwebi, has ordered his club’s players to start training during alert level 3.
This follows after alert level 3 started on Monday. Mrwebi urged his players to keep jogging so that the club would be ready when the season resumed. Mrwebi said, “I humbly appeal to the players to go for a run every day.
“The players must not run in numbers because lockdown regulations and rules are still in place.
“Some players told me that they do not feel comfortable about running with the mask on.”
Mrwebi highlighted the fact that when the season starts, his teams must be ready for the games. He stated that the players should train on a daily basis in order to keep fit.
Despite the relaxing of lockdown regulations, Mrwebi said the players should wear masks, sanitise their hands or wash their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds and keep the social distancing for 1,5m to 2m apart from each other.
They should not hug each other and adhere to simple hygienic rules. Mrwebi warned the players that they should not be ignorant, because Covid-19 kills people.
He said, “Please do not put your life and those of others at risk. Use your own clean mask. Wear your mask once and wash it after you have used it.
“Each player must always adhere to lockdown rules and regulations,” Mrwebi said.
