This year’s Carling Currie Cup is underway, and the Suzuki Griquas have seven demanding fixtures between them and the end of the tournament. In these fixtures, every point will matter, every tackle will count, and every supporter will have a role to play.
The Griquas’ 2026 Currie Cup journey commences on Friday 17 July, when they face the DHL Stormers in Cape Town at 19:05. Albert Liebenberg captains the side, with Leon Lyons and Cameron Hufke both earning their 50th caps in this match. Dillon Smith will make his Suzuki Griquas Currie Cup debut, while Stefan Coetzee will make his Griquas debut.
Four consecutive home matches at the Suzuki Stadium in Kimberley follow for rounds 2, 3, 4 and 5.
These matches are on:
25 July at 17:05 against the Vodacom Bulls;
31 July at 19:00 against the Toyota Cheetahs;
8 August at 13:00 against the Fidelity ADT Lions; and
14 August at 17:05 against the Hollywoodbets Sharks.

The fixture for round six takes place on 21 August at 15:00 against the Airlink Pumas at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, while round seven is played on 30 August at 15:00 against the Sanlam Boland Cavaliers at the Boland Stadium in Wellington.
