Engen Kathu presents the full package of an Engen filling station, complemented with a Quickshop, Cafe365, Brazmata and Woolworths Foodstop.

This is only the second filling station complex in South Africa to offer all these amenities conveniently under one roof, providing 24-hour refuelling and related services, as well as high-quality convenience shopping and an on-site ATM.

On the forecourt, friendly attendants provide swift service by refuelling vehicles, checking tyre pressure and oil, and eagerly cleaning windscreens.

On entering the shop, clients are welcomed by true rural hospitality whilst it feels as though you are walking into a posh city shop.

Expect to get those perfect fried chips here, or take-away meals 24 hours, seven days a week, ingredients for your Sunday lunch, as well as options to fill those ever-challenging lunchboxes for school or work.

Browse through the fresh food, fruit, vegetables, and convenience meals offered at Woolworths Foodstop; or choose freshly baked items and hot meals from Cafe365 and the deli.

In the comfortable coffee corner, you can taste the best coffee in the Kalahari whilst enjoying conversation with friends or family, or catch up on office work.

Baristas are trained by Stevo Kuhn, the 2024 winner of the African Barista Championship which took place at the African Fine Coffee Expo in Tanzania. Brazmata is a unique coffee blend sourced from the lush landscapes of Brazil, Guatemala, and Tanzania, and is a premium blend accessible to everyone.

Plenty of freebies on birthday

“Our plans, after the first birthday celebration, will never stop,” remarked Lindie van Rooyen and Dimone de Waal, partners and owners of Engen Kathu.

  • During the birthday celebration on Friday 20 March, plenty of freebies – provided by Engen Kathu’s suppliers – will be handed out.
  • A braai will be held, as well as a shotgun challenge with Red Bull where clients can win prizes.
  • Also, do not miss the chance to see the Red Bull Formula 1 car on display on the forecourt.
  • Visit Engen Kathu on the corner of Frikkie Meyer Street and Karee Avenue.
