UPINGTON – The body of a 46-year-old woman was found in a deep freezer at her home in Upington. Police in Upington have registered an inquest docket for investigation following the discovery on 31 March at approximately 16:05.
Preliminary information indicates that the deceased was reported missing by her husband on the same day at approximately 10:00. After a search was launched, her body was discovered inside a deep freezer located in a storeroom at their residence.
Lieutenant Colonel Thabo Litabe, media spokesperson, said an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. All information and reports will form part of the ongoing investigation that is currently underway, said Litabe.
