BLOEMFONTEIN – Four Bloemfontein athletes of the LS Aesthetics gymnasium have qualified to go and participate in the Deadly Dozen World Championships in September. The contest will be held in London.
This was after hard work and their participation in the Africa Championships on 25 January at the sportsgrounds of the University of Johannesburg (UJ).

The local doubles women team of Lee-Ann Johns and Elsie Young achieved an overall third place and came out on top in their age group (40 to 44 years).
The men’s team of Lohan Swart and Llewyllen Human-Retro came fourth overall and placed first in their age group (35 to 39 years). The two set a new record when they took part in the championship in Potchefstroom in September.

Deadly Dozen consist of an outdoor event on an athletics course which include sprints of 400m, separated by an exercise.
The sport began in the United Kingdom (UK) and is now raced in 23 countries with hundreds of track and gym races worldwide.

Deadly Dozen takes the complexity out of fitness racing – it uses a simple kit, accessible standards, and scalable effort that meets the athlete at their level, beginner or elite.
There is no technical barriers, no specialist skills required. Just one race, one standard, and one global leaderboard.
