KEMPTONPARK – The South African Police Service (SAPS) has intensified the search for 38-year-old Elizabeth Mokolo Moselakgomo, also known as “Tsontso”, who has been reported missing after going for an afternoon run in Kempton Park.

Moselakgomo reportedly left her home on Wednesday, 10 September, to go for a run but did not return.

Her eight-year-old daughter became concerned when her mother failed to come home later that evening and contacted family members, who subsequently reported her disappearance to police.

Police follow up leads

SAPS members have since been conducting searches and following up on all available leads in an effort to establish Moselakgomo’s whereabouts.

Police have also made enquiries at hospitals and mortuaries, but these have so far produced no positive results.

The circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain under investigation, with police pursuing every possible lead in an effort to locate her and ensure her safe return to her family.

SAPS has issued an urgent appeal to the public, media and social media users to assist with information that could help locate Moselakgomo.

Police say she may also be known by her nickname, Tsontso.

Anyone who has seen Moselakgomo, knows where she may be, or has information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact Warrant Officer Elvis Manyike on 082 465 7249 immediately.

Members of the public are also urged to share the appeal through social media platforms and community networks.

Police stressed that even information that may appear insignificant could prove crucial to the investigation.

The priority remains locating Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo and reuniting her safely with her family.

Police are currently investigating the deaths of four women whose bodies were discovered in close proximity to each other in the Kempton Park area over the past two months.

The latest body was found on Saturday evening in the Rhodesfield area.

According to preliminary information gathered by detectives, the women’s bodies were found half-naked and with visible bruising.

Although SAPS has not confirmed that the deaths are linked to a serial killer, the similarities have raised serious concerns and prompted the mobilisation of specialised investigative resources.
