The DA has retained Ward 2 in Witzenberg following a closely contested by-election.
The return to the polls in the Western Cape municipality was triggered by the death of the DA councillor who had won the ward in the 2021 local government elections.
The new DA councillor is Patric Daniels, who has lived in Wolseley his entire life.
